Dr. kathleen Feeley
Dr. Kathleen Feeley is a Professor in the College of Education, Information, and Technology at Long Island University (LIU), and Founding Executive Director of the Center for Community Inclusion, which is home to multiple New York State Education Department regional technical assistance centers. Dr. Feeley has authored several peer reviewed journal articles and most recently manualized her and Dr. Emily Jones? work in early intervention for children with Down syndrome in the two-book series, Off to A Good Start: A Behaviorally Based Model for Teaching Children with Down Syndrome. Dr. Feeley?s research addresses early developing communication skills, augmentative communication systems, and the use of intensive instructional strategies within inclusive educational setting to teach a range of skills to children with Down syndrome. Dr. Feeley also provides technical assistance to school districts as they seek to increase their use of inclusive practices and enhance their collaboration with parents and community members.
