William Mobley MD,PhD
William Mobley, MD, PhD, is a board-certified neurologist who has a special interest in diagnosing and guiding care for patients who have Down syndrome and signs of Alzheimer's disease and other neurological conditions. Dr. Mobley is Associate Dean for Neuroscience Initiatives at University of California, San Diego (UCSD) School of Medicine and is director of the UCSD Down Syndrome Center for Research and Treatment. He is one of the world's foremost experts on the neurobiology of Down syndrome.
Dr. Mobley currently serves as President of the T21 Research Society. His research focuses on the biology of Alzheimer disease, especially as manifest in those with Down syndrome. It encompasses studies that extend from basic cellular mechanisms to the discovery of treatments and to the compassionate care of these individuals.
