Linda Chan Chan Rapp

Linda Chan Rapp is an educator and lifelong learner. One of her favorite teachers has been her daughter Eden, who has taught her about unconditional love, sign language, homeschooling, flexibility, supported-decision-making, perseverance, math, music, person-centered planning, speechcraft, Down syndrome, and more. Together they have presented at national, regional and local conferences, volunteered in the community, and lobbied for policies to transform and support the lives of individuals with developmental disabilities. Linda served on the Self-Determination Advisory Committee at Harbor Regional Center from 2015-2022, and was active on the Statewide Self-Determination Advisory Committee from 2019 ? 2021. Currently she is a mentor parent for the Down Syndrome Association of Los Angeles, as well as a stakeholder appointee to California?s Department of Developmental Services? Quality Assessment Advisory Group (which reviews California?s National Core Indicator survey data). Locally she facilitates UpVoice book club, sits on the board of Friends of Lomita Library, volunteers at church, and is active in Toastmasters.
