Emily Kongs
Emily Kongs is an ASHA certified Speech Language Pathologist and mother to three children. Her youngest child, Madeleine, was born with Down syndrome in 2016 reigniting a love and passion for her career in Speech Language Pathology. Emily has specialized interests in hearing loss and motor speech disorders and spends much of her free time furthering her knowledge and use of evidence-based speech and language therapies for those with Down syndrome. She hopes to share this knowledge by encouraging and equipping families on their child?s journey to communication. Emily is a graduate of the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center where she graduated with distinction with a Master of Science in Speech Language Pathology. Recently, she earned an ACE award in 2022 from the American Speech Hearing Association for completing 70 contact hours of continuing education through the Hanen program, It Takes Two to Talk, and Down Syndrome Education International.|MS, CCC-SLP
