Jennifer Bekins
Jennifer Bekins, MS, CCC-SLP is the clinical manager of speech-language pathology in the Division of Developmental and Behavioral Pediatrics at Cincinnati Children?s Hospital Medical Center. Ms. Bekins, who graduated from Loyola University Maryland, has practiced since 2001 and has focused much of her career on communication skills in children with Down syndrome. She is the lead speech-language pathologist in the Jane and Richard Thomas Center for Down Syndrome. In addition to her clinical practice, Ms. Bekins has spoken nationally and contributed to books for caregivers and allied health professionals related to enhancing early communication in children with Down syndrome. Her participation in the Down syndrome community began in 1988 with the birth of her sister.
