Tweens to Teens to Transition: Resources and Strategies for Navigating the Path to a Thriving Adulthood

Navigating the years from tweens to transition requires imagination, patience, and flexibility. This practical seminar will provide practical tools to support your child through the many changes - physical, social, academic, and community - along the steps to a thriving adulthood. In this lively panel discussion including a young adult with Down syndrome, his mother who is also the Program Coordinator for the Boston Children's Hospital Down Syndrome Program, and a developmental behavioral pediatrician will tackle issues from the changes of puberty to setting the groundwork in school, volunteering, social, healthy habits, and vocational skills to thrive in adulthood. Participants will leave the seminar with practical tips and plans for implementation.
