Regression in Down Syndrome - What is it and what do I do about it?

View Info

People with Down syndrome may experience regression in previously acquired skills. In this session, members of the Down Syndrome Medical Interest Group regression sub-committee will present a panel discussion on regression, with a key focus on Down Syndrome Regression Disorder (DSRD). This condition occurs most commonly between the ages of 10 and 30 years and is associated with loss of skills in language, cognition, behavior, motor and adaptive skills. Discussion will include what we currently know about DSRD and its management.
