Exploring the Latest Discoveries in Down Syndrome Research: Cutting-Edge Clinical Trials and Groundbreaking Results!

This informative workshop will help attendees understand how the extra copy of chromosome 21 is affecting the health of individuals with Down syndrome in three key areas: oxygenation, growth and immunity. Learn how recent findings, driven by the Crnic Institute Human Trisome Project biobank, one of the largest and most in-depth studies of people with Down syndrome in the world of increased hypoxia (low oxygen), stunted growth, and dysregulation of the syndrome. New clinical trials based on these findings are testing medicines in Down syndrome, with promising initial results. In addition, Dr. Espinosa will delve into exciting clinical trials and opportunities for individuals with Down syndrome for autoimmune skin conditions and Regression. He will also give a live demonstration of the newly expanded INCLUDE Data Hub and explain how it is accelerating discoveries that benefit people with Down syndrome.
