The Ins and Outs of Stuttering and Down syndrome

Have you noticed your child, student, or loved one with Down syndrome frequently stutters when communicating? You are not alone. Stuttering occurs in approximately 50% of individuals with Down syndrome. In this presentation we will take a closer look at what stuttering is, why we frequently see it in the Down syndrome population, and the strategies we can use to help our friend/student/loved ones. The presenter will do a live demonstration of techniques that can be easily implemented into everyday conversation to help reduce stuttering.
