Dental Concerns for the Patient with Special Needs: From the Eyes of Both the Patient and Caregiver

This presentation will elaborate on special needs patients in the dental setting. The session will focus on what a patient with special needs can expect to experience at a typical dental visit and the behavior management techniques that dentists use at these appointments. We will also discuss common dental findings in patients with special needs, specifically Down Syndrome. We will view this appointment from the eyes of both a patient with special needs as well as their caregiver.
